Nutrition Pathway seeks to promote optimal health through personalised nutrition, by applying a science based approach, using extensive knowledge of nutrition and its impact on health. Whether you are looking to improve you overall diet for your future health, or seeking help with symptoms from chronic health problems, there are a range of options to help you on your way.
Nutrition Pathway is run by Registered Nutritional Therapist Lin McFarlane BSc (Hons) Dip ION. She holds a BSc in Nutritional Science, is accredited by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), a government sponsored body for complementary healthcare practitioners, and also a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
Nutritional Therapy is regulated in the U.K. by a voluntary register kept by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). It is a government-sponsored body dedicated to protecting the public by ensuring all registered practitioners meet the National Occupational Standards for healthcare services. A Nutritional Therapist may only display the CNHC mark if they have met the criteria for training and competence. Nutritional Therapists are required to keep up to date with professional training by continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to retain their CNHC registration.
Prior to working as a Nutritional Therapist Lin worked extensively in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry, and graduated with the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2014. She gained her practice diploma in Nutritional Therapy with distinction from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London.
Lin is also proud to be a volunteer with a local charity providing friendship and care to older people in the community and has run many charity events to raise money for cancer charities.
